Design and Style

How will you look in these shoes?

Many runners feel that these shoes are good looking.

Durability

How long will this shoe last for you? How do the shoes behave under repeated wear?

Many runners commented that the Brooks have good durability. The good durability is especially felt in the heel area and the shoes last for a relatively long time even when running on hard surfaces. For some runners, the shoes last for about 500 miles which is quite a lot more than normal shoes should.

Low Cost

How much can you expect to pay for the shoes? As a rule of thumb, running shoes should be replaced every 300-400 miles. If you plan to run a lot, price may become an important factor.

For most people, the Brooks Adrenaline seem like a very good bargain.

Support

How much support does the shoe provide you with? Will you be able to use orthodics if you need them?

Runners with pronating feet usually find these shoes to have very good support and that they help stabilize their feet. The shoes are considered supportive for high-arched pronating feet, but some runners will still need orthodics. If you do, you'll find that the insoles of the shoes are removable, and that makes insertion of orthodics very simple. Some health professionals recommend this shoe to their clients.

Lightweight

It is usually better for running shoes to be as lightweight as possible. However, this often means less support, less cushioning and perhaps shorter lifespan.

The Brooks Adrenaline weigh 9.5oz (269g) which is very lightweight.

Comfort

Running is a shock (impact) intensive sport. Running shoes usually have some mechanism for shock absorption, protecting your feet and allowing you to run further and for longer periods of time.

Many runners comment that the shoes are good for people with slight over-pronation. Most runners feel that the shoes are quite roomy in the toe box, so much that a few even complained that there is extra room there. They Brooks Adrenaline are usually a very good fit for runners with feet that are a little wider at the front. The shoes have very good cushioning and shock absorption, allowing users to run on very hard surfaces with no problems. A few runners commented that the shoes make them walk straight (which is a good thing). Many runners felt that the shoes are extremely comfortable from day one, without having to "break them in". They are also a good fit for runners with low arches and those who experience knee-knocking when they run.

Awesome shoe!

(score 5/5)

I have been wearing these shoes for 6 years now. Every year I buy the updated model of the same shoe. Once you find a running shoe that fits there is no reason to ever shop around again. Before spending the money though, I would suggest hitting a running store and having them evaluate your feet to tell you what type of shoe you need. A good fit is important to help you stay injury free. Once they find you a good fit you can just re-buy that same shoe for years to come. Initially it might be a bit more expensive as you will feel obligated to buy the shoe from the specialty running shop. But,for following purchases you can just hop online and buy the shoe from the cheapest vendor. This has been a great shoe for me!

Good overall running shoe

(score 4/5)

I've tried many running shoes (I run marathons although would call myself an amateur runner), and by trial and error and advice of other runners found this shoe. Brooks Adrenaline is an all-around good shoe. Good support without being too tight through the toes. For long distance running I get 1 size larger than my regular shoes - I wear 6.5 and get 7.5 for running. I tie the laces all the way to the end to avoid my foot slipping forward and banging my toes. The GTS7 is an older model but got this for $30 less than the most recent model and honestly I haven't found they have changed much so it is a good value.

Great shoe

(score 5/5)

My previous shoes hurt my feet/knees when running...so I decided to get a better pair & the Brooks Adrenaline was recommended. This shoe has helped out alot...very comfortable...I love them & would continue buying them. Best running shoes I've had.

TOO WIDE

(score 1/5)

I've gone through two pairs of the Adrenaline GTS 6 and loved them. However, the GTS 7 is terrible! They are way too wide for my feet and I ordered a B. My legs hurt from beginning to end of a dozen runs so I'm giving up. Since GTS 6 is discontinued, I'm going to have to go on a quest to find another shoe. Brooks, why must we fix something that isn't broken?
