Design and Style

How will you look in these shoes?

The A3 Gigaride look stylish and cool for streetwear as well as running or for the gym.

Durability

How long will this shoe last for you? How do the shoes behave under repeated wear?

Many runners commented that the shoes last as expected and do not lose their cushioning as they age. This is due to Adidas's special technology and seam-free manufacture.

Low Cost

How much can you expect to pay for the shoes? As a rule of thumb, running shoes should be replaced every 300-400 miles. If you plan to run a lot, price may become an important factor.

The A3 gigaride are very cheap.

Support

How much support does the shoe provide you with? Will you be able to use orthodics if you need them?

The shoes provide very good support for most people, yet they manage to still be comfortable. Many runners who experienced injuries or tenderness in the knees, ankles or feet feel that the shoes support them well and prevent additional damage. Note that for runners with higher arches, orthodics or inserts may be required.

Lightweight

It is usually better for running shoes to be as lightweight as possible. However, this often means less support, less cushioning and perhaps shorter lifespan.

While not as lightweight as other models, most users feel that the Gigaride are lightweight and good for training.

Comfort

Running is a shock (impact) intensive sport. Running shoes usually have some mechanism for shock absorption, protecting your feet and allowing you to run further and for longer periods of time.

For most runners, the shoes are very comfortable, and provide good cushioning. The material they are made of is breathable - this is important to prevent overheating of the feet. Many runners who had hill spurs or knee and lower leg injuries feel that the Gigaride's cushioning reduces impact on the knees. Many runners commented that the shoe has a narrow structure, and that it fits quite tight. As a result, for feet that are wider than regular, you might want to look for wider models. Only a few runners feel that there is not enough arch support or that shock absrption is not ideal, and some commented that the structure of the sole may not make these shoes suitable for non-running activities.

Best running shoe ever!

(score 5/5)

I absolutely love this shoe! They are soo comfortable and look great on. I have flat feet so I have a hard time finding running shoes that fit me, infact I havent bought a pair of running shoes in almost 3 years because I havent found any that fit right. I tried this brand on at a department store and loved them, but not the price. So when I found these on amazon I had to have them and am sooo glad that I did!!! Recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!

Treadmill friendly

(score 5/5)

I love these shoes. I was always an avid outdoor runner however due to my current location (deployed overseas) I'm unable to run outside. I have tried mutliple times with various shoes to run on a treadmill but always found the constant pounding to become to much for my knees. These shoes are perfect! I gave them a test run on the treadmill this morning and was pleasantly suprised by the support and additional "bounce" they offer. I just got them yesterday and am already shopping for another pair!

overall very good

(score 4/5)

Size seems a little small compared to previous generation adidas running shoes I've own. Excellent flexibility and road feel - very responsive and cushioned. If you prefer a firmer feel (e.g. like Asics cushioned shoes), this will feel too squishy. Very attractive design. Laces are strangely short, but adequate (typically my laces are much too long). Nice improvement over previous generations of the air cushioning Adidas - design of the sole no longer allows rocks to get stuck in bottom of shoe.

Overall very good. Price/value and smaller sizing were criteria that led to lack of an "excellent" rating.

Great running shoe but why is price way up?

(score 5/5)

The double-edged sword of rating a product highly: you help out fellow shoppers but then the vendor raises the price. I bought this exact shoe 1-1/2 yrs ago for $45 w/free Super-Saver shipping. Now the shoe costs $73 + shipping? Maybe we should all keep our mouths shut. And what's w/the different pricing for different sizing? Sounds like discrimination to me. Could be a federal offense.

I've given it 5 stars to see how much higher the price rises.
